MESA is a foundation from the School of Mines that collaborates with students to fix real-world problems. My group's task was to help a 6th grader named Robbie who has Kyphosis, (significant curvatures in his spine) which restricts some of his movement. We needed to create a hands-free bag carrier for him so he could maneuver around school and the world easier. We designed a small tank that can hold his bag, go upstairs without tipping over, and offer a hands-free experience.
